Kindness is listed as a fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22. "Christians should show kindness by behaving toward others as God has behaved toward them.” Basically it means “doing thoughtful deeds to others.” These are just some of the words my baby spoke to the FCA club this morning. Hannah Paul you have found your talent. I am so proud of you! I love you to the moon!

After helping to send 24 care packages to college and career students from Calvary Baptist Church tonight. I needed this devotion. I could not express my feelings any better than the words of this devotion. God has "pressed" me by taking JD home to live with Him. It has been through "the east wind" that brings harshness to your life that I have found the "west wind" that brings newness and life. I have been refined to be more fruitful with my walk with God. I see in my everyday walk how His name is being more glorified. Thank You God for giving me 18 years to be JD's mama. Thank you for using him to help me grow closer to you. Thank you for your promise that I will see him again. And thank you JD Paul for being my "east and west wind". I love you to the moon.
Romans 12:6 "Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly." We are praying for Seth and all the Yellow Jackets a safe and successful game tonight and season. Glorify His name in all you do!
Romans 10:17 says, "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ." God blesses us with senses to see, smell, touch, taste, and hear. I've often heard that if someone is not able to use all five senses that one or more of these senses are enhanced. I feel like this is another incredible act provided by God. Since our journey began our Lord has reassured us that through His word we would find peace. Today with the help of some of my friends I was able to pass out these T-shirts that were created using one of JD's last tweets, to many people in our community and those surrounding us. As we have worn these shirts we have been able to witness to others about God's greatness! People have been able to "see" Bible verse Acts 19:11 and have asked what it means. They were able to "hear" the verse "God did extraordinary miracles through Paul." This was a verse that Hannah embraced after her brother's death. People are also able to "see"; "God's got me", and those praying hands; because JD knew that we was a born again child of God. And because of his not being afraid to share this tweet; we "feel" a longing in our hearts to want to be closer to God. We want to "touch" the words that God has written to comfort us during the pleasant times in our lives, as well as, the grief-stricken ones. As a mother, I am again honored that God chose my child to witness to so many. Although I miss him greatly, I tell you again; so you may "see" these words and "hear" them while you read: I will "touch" my child again! God promises us that if we confess with our mouths and believe with our hearts we will be saved. I believe that, do you? Thank you God for every blessing in my life. Thank you for holding my son until I can again. And thank you J.d. Paul for not being afraid to speak for God so that people will "see" and "hear" His word and follow. I love you to the moon!
Missing that sweet face tonight! "God's got you, baby, I love you to the moon.
Isaiah 53:4 says, 4 "Surely He took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered Him punished by God, stricken by Him, and afflicted." As I was reading this verse tonight I was reminded of how Jesus was made human by God to bare our pain; our sins. God sacrificed His own Son so that we would one day live sorrow and pain free. If anyone doubts that there is such a Great Being; listen to my testimony. As you know on June 20, 2015 at around 2:30 pm I received the most difficult call I, as a mother, ever hope to receive again. I was told my child was in a bad accident and to meet the helicopter at Memorial Hospital in Savannah. JD's daddy and I drove as quickly as we could to get to our son. During the trip I had the worst pain in my knees. The pain was so drastic that I remember telling David that I may not be able to walk to the hospital. The pain was a not like any other I had before! My knees ached and burned, and they did this all the way to Savannah. When David and I pulled into the parking lot, my pain ceased. It did not completely go away, but it lessened. I was able to walk to get to my child. We were directed to a waiting area and told they would give us news as soon as they could, but JD's injuries were bad. My knees began to ache again; not as severe; but it was an obvious ache that I had attributed to stress. When we were told of JD's death my knees hurt no more, only my heart now was hurting. It was broken and still is. However, it wasn't until after we received some medical bills that I was reminded of how incredible our God is! One of the procedures that the emergency workers performed on JD is called an Intraosseous Insertion. This procedure provides a route for administering fluid, blood, and medication. What makes this verse so real and believable to me about Jesus taking our pain and suffering is where the workers placed JD's insertion. The insertion was in his KNEE! Only God could create human beings that could take pain and suffering for others. I believe JD's pain was transferred to me; as ours was transferred to Jesus. I, as I am sure most of you would; take the pain for the people we love. How can we deny God's love for us if He allowed His only Son to take our pain? We can't! Again as I close I want to thank you God for giving our family JD for 18 wonderful years. Thank you for saving him, and thank you for sending Your Son to die for all of our sins so that we may live with you and our loved ones again one day. And as for you J.d. Paul you make me prouder everyday to be your mama. You, my son, are still working for Your Heavenly Father. People are moving and thinking because of you. I am so happy God chose me to be your mama. I love you to the moon!
